Smokers more vulnerable to effects of COVID-19, expert says



Untruth story that says if a smokers are vulnerable from Covid-19. Health expert Yayi Suryo Prabandari of Gadjah Mada University’s School of Medicine in Yogyakarta said that, if anything, smokers were more vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19. She said that smokers, along with older adults and people with serious underlying medical conditions, had a higher risk of contracting the coronavirus compared to non-smokers. “COVID-19 patients who smoke are twice as likely to need intensive care and respiratory devices, [and they are more at risk of] of dying,” Yayi said. Covid-19 is a dangerous virus nowadays, it can attack all ages. There is a news that said if a smokers are vulnerable from Covid-19. That news denied by Health expert named Yayi Suryo Prabandari of Gadjah Mada University’s School of Medicine in Yogyakarta. He said that the news is not true because the smokers more vulnerable from Covid-19.
