Teacher            : Good Morning Class, today we will learn about folktales. folktale is an old story that's been told again and again, often for generations. If you're interested in learning more about your heritage, you might read some folktales from the country in which your great-great-grandparents grew up. I’ll let you know about some title of folktales. There are, Bawang merah & Bawang Puith, Snow white and 7 dwarfs, Cinderella and many more. Have you ever heard all of that folktales class?

Dewi               : Yes Miss

Dinda              : Yes Miss

Teacher            : Ok I have two folktales and I will let you to read this story in front of the class. I’ll divide you in to two groups. Each member of group have to read the story consecutively. Do you understand class?

Emma              : Yes Miss

Kate                : Yes miss, I understand

Teacher            : Ok now, Dewi with Dinda and then Emma with Kate.

Emma              : What should we do after we read the story Miss?

Teacher            : Good question Emma, so class after each group have finish read the story all of you have to answer the question and give a question to each other according to the story which the group have been read.

Kate                : Ok miss

Teacher            : Now group 1 please come to the front of the class, Dewi and Dinda. Ok, Dewi and Dinda you will read a folktales the title is the ant and the dove. This is the text.

Dina                : Good Morning everybody, today me and Dewi will read a folktales the title is the ant and the dove. One hot day, an ant was searching for some water. After walking around for some time, she came to a spring. To reach the spring, she had to climb up a blade of grass. While making her way up, she slipped and fell into the water. She could have drowned if a dove up a nearby tree had not seen her. Seeing that the ant was in trouble, the dove quickly plucked off a leaf and dropped it into the water near the struggling ant.

Dewi               : The ant moved towards the leaf and climbed up there. Soon it carried her safely to dry ground. Just at that time, a hunter nearby was throwing out his net towards the dove, hoping to trap it. Guessing what he was about to do, the ant quickly bit him on the heel. Feeling the pain, the hunter dropped his net. The dove was quick to fly away to safety.

                        Thank you.

Teacher            : Ok group 2 it’s your time to ask a question.

Emma              : Why the ant wants to help the dove even the dove not asking the ant to giving a help?

Dewi               : Because the ants doesn’t want something bad happened with the dove. Do you know why?

Emma              : Ouh because the dove help the ant so the ant not fall into a river.

Dewi               : Yes you right.

Dina                : Kate, do you know what the dove do so the ant not falling into the river?

Kate                : Yes, The dove quickly plucked off a leaf and dropped it into the water near the struggling ant. So the ant can be save.

Dina                : Yes you right Kate.

Teacher            : Yes, good class. All of you have listening carefully. So next is second group. Please come to the front of the class. The story that will be read is The Goose with the Golden Eggs.

Emma              : Good morning everybody, today me and Kate will read the folktales, the title is The Goose with the Golden Eggs.

                        Once upon a time, a man and his wife had the good fortune to have a goose which laid a golden egg every day. Lucky though they were, they soon began to think they were not getting rich fast enough. They imagined that if the bird must be able to lay golden eggs, its insides must be made of gold.

Kate                : And they thought that if they could get all that precious metal at once, they would get mighty rich very soon. So the man and his wife decided to kill the bird. However, upon cutting the goose open, they were shocked to find that its innards were like that of any other goose!

Teacher            : Ok group 1 it’s your time to ask a question.

Dewi               : What is moral value from the story ?

Kate                : the moral value is we have to think first before act.

Emma              : question to Dewi, dewi do you know why they kill the bird?

Dewi               : because they think that insides the bird is must be made of gold because the egg is gold.

Emma              : yes you right.

Teacher            : Ok class good, I think all of you have learn it quickly. You can get the moral values from each story. The next assignment is you each of you have to write the conclusion of every story that have been read by each group and also the moral value with your own words. And then put it on my desk. I think enough for today. Thank you class.
